Organic Fortnight  3-17 September

Organic Fortnight is the industry's nationwide campaign highlighting the benefits of organic. Organic is good for us and our planet, is kind to animals and wildlife and allows us make a big difference - simply through the way we shop. This year we used the fortnight to promote why all these benefits equal such good value for money.

Planning for 2010

With sales promotions and national press coverage, it’s a key time to promote your products and to encourage customers to look out for products carrying the Soil Association symbol.  Next year's dates are 3 to 17 September.

Sponsorship

Organic Fortnight presents some high value, high profile sponsorship opportunities. If you would like to be a sponsor of Organic Fortnight 2010 and follow in the footsteps of companies like Organix, Riverford and Greenvale, please contact Helen Taylor at htaylor@soilassociation.org

Marketing resources

We've developed marketing resources to use during and beyond the Organic Fornight. Focussing on five key benefits of organic, these resources aim to give clear and consistent messages on the benefits of organic.

  1. Use the ‘Five good reasons to choose organic’ in-store
  2. Download and print our 'Why Choose Organic?' leaflet
  3. Display our 'Why Choose Organic?' posters
  4. Download the events planning guide for tips on event organisation and publicity
  5. Use our Press Release Template to give your event local promotion
  6. Strengthen your advertising with our guide to Approved Marketing Statements
  7. Talk to supermarket buyers about supporting the campaign
  8. Join up with other businesses to approach retailers with joint promotions
  9. Wholesalers – advertise over the summer and plan for a spike in demand
  10. Use the Organic Fortnight logo on your communications and website with a link to the Soil Association site
