Farmer and grower board
The Soil Association Farmer and Grower Board is an elected, representative group of organic producers from a range of backgrounds. The Board aims to ensure a balance of representation across all sectors through its members. The Soil Association regularly consults with the Board on a range of topics. The purpose of the board is to:
- Represent producer members, including most licensees of Soil Association Certification Ltd
- Bring producer related issues to the notice of all relevant departments of the Soil Association
- Put forward matters for debate at the Soil Association Council.
Election call for farmer and grower board 2010
The Soil Association is seeking nominations from individuals who are interested in joining the Soil Association’s farmer and grower board.
“Sitting on the farmer and grower board provides a real insight into the many facets of the Soil Associations' work, as well as giving you the opportunity to represent producers in your region,” said Phil Stocker, director of farmer and grower relations.
“We are seeking representatives from all types of farming and growing businesses and from all parts of the UK. Anyone can be nominated – regardless of organic certification body. The only qualification is that you must be a producer member with the Soil Association.”
