Vote for the Food for Life Partnership in the National Lottery Awards final!

27 July 2010

The Soil Association-led Food for Life Partnership has reached the National Lottery Awards final in the Best Health Project category.

"We are absolutely delighted to have made it to the final and want to thank everyone who has supported us so far," says communications manager, Rikke Bruntse-Dahl.

"Winning this award will help us spread the message of the importance of good food for children and communities, so please keep supporting us. This is a brand new voting round, so even if you voted for us before in the semi-final we would love if you would vote for us again!"

Vote for the Food for Life Partnership on the National Lottery Awards website or call 0844 686 1435. The final round of public voting runs from 26 July – 13 August.

About the Food for Life Partnership

We believe that regardless of geography, background and experiences, every child deserves good food and the opportunity to learn the skills to cook and grow sustainable and healthy meals for themselves and their families. That’s exactly what we are working with more than 2,500 schools across England to achieve. This is what some of the schools say about their work with the Food for Life Partnership:

Milton-on- Stour Primary School:
“It is amazing how the school and children have benefitted from being a part of the scheme.”

Hemsworth Community College:
“The Food for Life Partnership has helped to teach, encourage and promote healthy eating and lifestyle through its work. For example, learning about food choices, food miles and sustainability.”

Haydonleigh Primary School:
“The Food for Life Partnership has inspired us to try new ideas and to think outside of the box. We have really thought about skills and knowledge that children need for life outside those normally taught within the school curriculum.”

Read our case studies to find out how the Food for Life Partnership is helping make a difference to thousands of schools, children and communities across England.
