Food for Life Partnership
Join the Food for Life Partnership - a network of schools and communities across England committed to transforming food culture. We can help your school create a healthy food culture at the heart of your local community and you can win awards for your achievements.
Food for Life Partnership schools serve meals made from fresh, seasonal, local and organic ingredients and teach young people about where food comes from through practical education like cooking, growing and farms visits.
Led by the Soil Association, the Food for Life Partnership brings together the practical expertise of the Focus on Food Campaign, Garden Organic and the Health Education Trust are funded through a £16.9M grant from the Big Lottery fund.
Awards ceremony 2009
On the 2nd of December ethical and sustainable food hero Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall presented Food for Life Partnership Silver and Gold Awards to schools who have excelled in transforming their food culture in the South of England. In true Food for Life Partnership style the award ceremony event included farm tours and cooking with own-grown produce and pupils, teachers, caterers, farmers and policymakers were invited to join in the celebrations.
